1 large eggplant (thinly sliced longways)
10 sheets lasagne
1 handful dried basil
500 g pasta (ditaloni rigate; dried)
1½ tbsp olive oil
1 whole onion
500 g beef
8 whole button mushrooms
490 g pasta sauce
⅓ cup parsley
100 g spinach (English; roughly chopped)
150 g mozzarella cheese (in 1cm cubes)
¼ cup parmigiano-reggiano cheese
1 dash olive oil (spray)
